Topography & Geography
- Long N → S strip ~400 km "from the Tauber to the Lake" — northern end at the Tauber river, southern end at Bodensee (Lake Constance).
- East of Pfalz, on the east bank of the Rhine opposite Alsace.
- Black Forest (Schwarzwald) lies to the east of Baden.
- Bodensee (Lake Constance) vineyards at 400–560 m a.s.l. — one of the highest wine-growing areas in Germany.
- Major water sources: Rhein river + Tauber (Rhine tributary, in the north) + Bodensee / Lake Constance (southern border with Switzerland).
